Ada F. Kidwell Obituary (1924

Ada F. Kidwell was born on January 16, 1924, in Clay City, Illinois, a daughter of Clarence H. and Pearl (Weiler) Stanford. She married Earl Kidwell in Clay City on June 16, 1954, and he preceded her in death on April 5, 2001. Mrs. Kidwell worked at Clinton County Title and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Clay City. She enjoyed sewing and quilting, making jewelry and crafts. Ada F. Kidwell entered into rest on Wednesday, June 10, 2009, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Breese. She was 85 years of age. Mrs. Kidwell is survived by a son - Jon Kidwell and wife Jeaneen of Van Buren, Arkansas; 3 grandchildren - Kate, Olivia and Maggie Kidwell; 2 sisters - Kathryn Harrison and husband Willard of Louisville, Illinois and Wilma Knowles of Antioch, Tennessee and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and her husband, Mrs. Kidwell was preceded in death by a son James on November 4, 1979 and 2 sisters - Hazel Hutchinson and Doris Evans. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, June 12, 2009, at Zieren Day Funeral Home in Carlyle. Interment will follow at Carlyle Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Zieren Day Funeral Home on Thursday from 5:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. and on Friday from 8:00 A.M. until service time. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Mrs. Kidwell may be made to the American Cancer Society will be accepted at the funeral home.
