Alfreda M. Wuebbels Obituary (1932

Alfreda M. Wuebbels, age 84 of Carlyle, passed away at St. Joseph's Hospital in Breese on Tuesday, October 24, 2017. Mrs. Wuebbels was born on December 14, 1932, in Clement Township, Illinois, a daughter of Raymond and Wanda (Mills) Cooley. She married Bernard C. "Bandy" Wuebbels on November 8, 1958, and he preceded her in death on August 19, 1995. Alfreda is survived by 6 daughters - Rosemary Wuebbels of Long Point, Illinois, Kathleen Campa of Carlyle, Dr. Elizabeth Jones and husband Ron of High Ridge, Missouri, Evelyn Wuebbels of Carlyle, Denise Holtgrave and husband Joseph of Germantown, and Julie Wuebbels of Carlyle; 8 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 4 step grandchildren, 2 step great grandchildren, and one step great great grandchild; 2 sisters - Wanda Kennett of Brownstown, Illinois and Imogene Koehler of Breese; a brother - William Cooley of Long Point; and 3 sisters-in-law - Selma Wuebbels, Margie Wuebbels, and Marcella Wuebbels, all of Carlyle. She was preceded in death by her parents - Raymond and Wanda Cooley; her husband - Bernard Wuebbels; a great grandson - Owen Bolton; a sister - Arlene Settles; and a brother - Artie Cooley. Mrs. Wuebbels worked at Wee Walker Shoe Factory in her younger years and was a homemaker after she was married. She was a member of St. Mary's Church and enjoyed puzzles and Sudoku, flowers, and gardening. Alfreda will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, October 27, 2017, at Zieren Funeral Home in Carlyle with Fr. George Mauck, officiating. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Zieren Funeral Home on Thursday, October 26, from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. and on Friday morning from 8:00 A.M. until service time. Memorial donations are suggested to the Clinton County Relay for Life or to the American Diabetes Association and will be received at the funeral home.
