Anita Knolhoff Obituary (1921

Anita Knolhoff, age 85 of New Minden, died Tuesday, January 30 at the Carlyle Healthcare Center in Carlyle. She was born on October 25, 1921, in New Minden, a daughter of Carl and Caroline (Nottmeyer) Brinkmann. She married Elmer H. Knolhoff on April 11, 1942 in New Minden, and he preceded in death on Dec. 27, 1995. Mrs. Knolhoff was a homemaker, and a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in New Minden. She is survived by a daughter, Eileen (Larry) Hoffman of Chesterfield, Mo; a son, Gene (Sondra) Knolhoff of Hoyleton; 6 grandchildren, Beth (Bryan) Weihe of Hoyleton, Rhonda Knolhoff of St. Louis, Douglas (Veronica) Knolhoff of Hoyleton, Matthew (Jennifer) Hoffman of University City, Mo, Michael (Gina) Hoffman of O'Fallon, Mo, and Andrew Hoffman of St. Louis; 4 great grandchildren, Kayle and Jessica Weihe, and Mallory and Evan Knolhoff, all of Hoyleton; a brother, Norman (Edith) Brinkmann of Houston, TX; and in-laws Erna (Henry) Brinkmann of New Minden, Leona Knolhoff of Hoffman, and Helen Knolhoff of Posey. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Hulda Tanner, 4 brothers, Herbert, Elmer, Otto, and Paul Brinkmann, and brothers-in-law, Paul and Wilbert Knolhoff. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday, Feb. 3 at St. John's Lutheran Church in New Minden, with Rev. Tim Mueller officiating. Interment will follow in St. John's Cemetery. The family will greet friends on Friday from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Zieren Day Funeral Home in Carlyle, and Saturday from 9:00 AM until service time at church. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Mrs. Knolhoff are suggested to St. John's Church, or the donor's favorite charity.
