Brian K. Meyer

Brian K. Meyer, 47 of Engelwood, Colorado, passed away in his sleep on June 21, 2010. Brian was born July 18, 1963, in Jacksonville, Florida to Thomas W. Meyer (deceased) and Barbara Gabel (Hurst). He is survived by his mother - Barbara Gabel of Carlyle; a son - Christopher A. Meyer of Carlyle, his daughter - Brianna N. Meyer of Wisconsin; 2 brothers - Dustin K. Gabel (Meyer) and Jacob M. Gabel and a niece - Bonnie J. Gabel of Carlyle. He was preceded in death by his father - Thomas W. Meyer; his grandparents, Wilfred and Lillian Hurst, Hazel Meyer and John Duncan. Brian attended Belleville Township High School West in Belleville, Illinois, Belleville Area College, and Mckendree College in Lebanon, Illinois. He worked for Sawyer Ambulance as an EMT, Belleville Memorial Hospital as a phlebotomist, Metropolitan Life Insurance, Das Bakery in Belleville and Weyhaupts in Belleville. He also worked as an independent insurance agent in Colorado. A celebration of Brian's life and a private graveside service will be held at a later date. As requested by Brian, he was cremated and will be buried in College Hill Cemetery in Lebanon, Illinois. Previous EventsPrivate Services
