Catherine Gladys (Ross) Martin, age 75 of Carlyle, died on Saturday, April 27, 2013, at Carlyle Healthcare Center in Carlyle, Illinois. Mrs. Martin was born on January 12, 1938, in Carlyle, a daughter of William H. and Gladys V. (Curtis) Ross. She married Roger T. Wright, Sr. on May 5, 1956, and they divorced. She married Cleve E. "Dip" Martin on June 3, 1994, and he preceded her in death on September 12, 2000. Mrs. Wright is survived by her children - Teresa Jones and husband Rev. Robert of Springfield, Illinois; Roger Wright, Jr. of Carlyle; Cynthia Vance and husband Vinny of South San Francisco, California; and Angelia Gordon and husband Rowan Thompson of San Mateo, California; 7 grandchildren - R'Lee Jones; Ross Wright; Violet, Georgia, Becky and Carly Vance and Olivia Gordon; and her siblings - Alberta Primm of Rockford, Illinois; Bill Ross of Carlyle and Agnes Gulley and husband Walter of Rockford. She was preceded in death by her parents - William H. and Gladys V. Ross; her husband, Cleve Martin; a sister - Shirley Yokem and 2 brothers-in-law - Luther Ray Primm and Clifford Frank Yokem. A funeral service will be held on at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, April 30, 2013, at Zieren Day Funeral Home in Carlyle with Rev. Robert Jones, officiating. Interment will follow at Carlyle Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Zieren Day Funeral Home on Monday, April 29, 2013, from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, April 30, 2013, from 8:00 - 11:00 A.M.
