Clara Chapman

Clara L. Chapman, age 108 of Springfield, Illinois and formerly of Carlyle, Illinois passed away on Monday, November 10, 2008, at Lewis Memorial Christian Village in Springfield. She was born July 16, 1900 in Little York, Illinois to John and Hattie (Jones) Turner. She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Nadine McClain and a son, Nathaniel Killion. She is survived by, two daughters, Loretta Killion and Aletha Nash, one Granddaughter Claudette Moore, one Grandson; Derek (wife Rosemary) Nash, a brother, Haywood Turner, four sisters, Helen Lee Franklin, Opal Devoe, Mary Chapman and Hannah Johnson. She is also survived by five great-grand children and five great-great grandchildren and several great nieces, and a host of great-great-nieces & nephews and a host of friends. Funeral Services will be held Friday, November 14th at 12:00 P.M. Noon at Monroe Street Christian Church with the Rev. James Johnson, officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:00A.M. until service time at the church. Graveside Services will be held Saturday, November 15th at 12:00 P.M. Noon at Carlyle Cemetery in Carlyle, IL with Rev.
