Deborah G. Brinkmann

Deborah G. Brinkmann, age 55 of Carlyle, died Tuesday, December 24, 2013 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Breese, IL on Dec. 6, 1958, a daughter of Frank and Celia (Gerdes) Kreke. She married Dwayne Brinkmann in Bartelso on Nov. 7, 1981, and he survives in Carlyle. Also surviving is a daughter, Lindsey Brinkmann and special friend Zach Jones; a son, Tyler Brinkmann and special friend Aimee Bourgeois and her children Gavin and Sophia, all of Carlyle; her mother, Celia Kreke of Bartelso; sisters, Joyce (John) Marshall of New Baden, Karen Kues, and Jackie (Dennis) Koelling, and brothers Don (Jean) Kreke and Jim (Tammy) Kreke, all of Bartelso. Also surviving is her mother-in-law, Viola Brinkmann of Carlyle; brothers-in-law Dave (Louise) Brinkmann of Carlyle and Don (Kim) Brinkmann of Golden, Co; a sister-in-law, Judy (Tim) Isaak of Carlyle, and many special nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Frank Kreke; a sister, Mary Jean Kreke; father-in-law, Alfred Brinkmann; and a brother-in-law, Larry Kues. Deborah graduated from Kaskaskia College, and had been a dental assistant for Dr. Harry Potts in Carlyle, Dr. Bernard Sinner in Breese and lastly for Dr. Sid Wessol in Carlyle. In more recent years she devoted her time to helping on the family farm. She was a member of St. Mary's Church in Carlyle. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 2:00 P.M. Friday, Dec. 27, 2013 at St. Mary's Church in Carlyle, celebrated by Fr. George Mauck and Fr. Jim Buerster. Interment will follow in Carlyle Cemetery. Friends may call at St. Mary's Church on Thursday from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and Friday from Noon until service time. The family suggests memorials to the special wishes of the family and will be received at church, or Zieren Day Funeral Home who is in charge of the arrangements.
