Dortha R. Knutt Obituary (1922

Dortha R. Knutt, age 88 of Keyesport, entered into rest on Friday, May 27, 2011, at her residence in Keyesport. Ms. Knutt was born on November 4, 1922, in Mt. Vernon, Illinois, a daughter of James W. and Ruby (Howard) Daniels. She married Richard "Don" Knutt and they were later divorced. Ms. Knutt is survived by her children - Dale Knutt of Keyesport, Dennis Knutt of Panama, Illinois, Darlene Greenway of Carlyle, Donald Knutt of Carlyle, Darrell Knutt and wife Teresa of Pocahontas, Diana Gray of Carlyle and Denise Knutt of Pierron; 10 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter - Debra Knutt; a son - David Knutt and 2 brothers - Troy Daniels and Robert Daniels. Mrs. Knutt was a Christian and a homemaker. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, June 1, 2011, at Zieren Day Funeral Home in Carlyle. Interment will follow at McKendree Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Zieren Day Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 31, 2011 from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. and on Wednesday from 8:00 until service time. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Ms. Knutt are suggested to the American Cancer Society or to the Alzheimer's Association and will be received at the funeral home.
