Edith S. Brinkman

Edith Muriel Sonstroem Brinkman, age 84, passed away peacefully on July 6, in Sugar Land, Texas. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and teacher, her kind spirit will be missed. She is preceded in death by husband, Norman Brinkman, parents, John & Melita Sonstroem, and brother, Robert Sonstroem. She is survived by brother, Donald Sonstroem, son, Brian Brinkman (Marty), daughter Kristin Kemper (Charles), and grandchildren Dylan and Sam Brinkman. Edith was born in Bristol, Connecticut, and was a longtime member and teacher at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Bristol where she met her husband, Norman Brinkman. They moved to Houston in 1968, and were members at Memorial Lutheran Church and Pilgrim Lutheran Church. Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, July 13, 2011St. John's Lutheran Church in New Minden, Illinois. Interment will follow at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery.
