Edward J. Gammon

Edward J. Gammon was born on April 6, 1951, in Fairfield, Illinois, a son of Paul L. and Malinda C. (Carrell) Gammon. He married Janet Partain on February 23, 2008, in Las Vegas, Nevada and she survives in Beckemeyer. Mr. Gammon was a retired union carpenter with Local 169 in East St. Louis. He currently owned and operated Gammon Rental, was a member of the First Baptist Church in Carlyle and enjoyed woodworking and spending time with his grandchildren. In addition to his wife, Janet, Ed is survived by his mother - Malinda C. Gammon of Carlyle; a daughter - Crystal Wilson and husband Dan of Copperas Cove, Texas; a son - Corey Gammon and wife Chastity of Honolulu, Hawaii; a step-daughter - Tonica Fischer and husband Alan of Carlyle; 8 grandchildren - Zechariah and Isaiah Gammon, Shawn Hunter, Christian and Isaac Wilson, and Brandon, Dylan and Clarissa Fischer; his father-in-law - John Partain of Beckemeyer; a sister - Pauletta Goodin and husband Dave of Carlyle; 2 brothers - Jack Gammon and wife Eileen of Fairview Heights, Illinois and Terry Gammon and wife Geralyn of Carlyle and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father - Paul L. Gammon and his mother-in-law - Ann Partain.
