Fern M. Knutt Obituary (1921

Fern M. Knutt was born on June 5, 1921, in Keyesport, Illinois, a daughter of Louis and Mattie (Potts) Schubert. She married Buster Wm. Knutt on June 22, 1940, in St. Louis, Missouri and he preceded her in death on September 14, 1991. Fern was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening and quilting. Fern M. Knutt entered into rest on Monday, November 15, 2010, at her residence in Huey. She was 89 years of age. Mrs. Knutt is survived by a daughter - Shirley Wilkerson and friend Herb Bean of Huey; 2 sons - Russell Knutt and wife Nancy of Carlyle and Duane Knutt and friend Paula VonBurg of Huey; a son-in-law - Jr. Wilken of Huey; 9 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren and a sister - Lulubelle Bartok of Texas. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Knutt was preceded in death by a daughter - Patt Wilken; 2 sons in infancy; a son-in-law - Loren Wilkerson; 2 sisters - Dorothy Gillette and Esther File and a brother in infancy. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Wednesday, November 17, 2010, at Zieren Day Funeral Home in Carlyle with Rev. Tom Hoffman, officiating. Interment will follow at McKendree Chapel Cemetery in Keyesport. Visitation will be held at Zieren Day Funeral Home on Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. until service time. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Mrs. Knutt are suggested to the American Cancer Society or to the charity of the donor's choice and will be received at the funeral home.
