Harold Dean Berry

Harold Dean Berry, age 63 of Carlyle, died on Tuesday, October 1, 2013, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Breese. Mr. Berry was born on January 9, 1950, in Carlyle, a son of George W. and Willie T. (Keels) Berry. Dean served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. After his service, he worked as a laborer with the local union. Dean loved to fish. He is survived by his children - Jessica Berry and Jeff Berry, both of Carlyle; his grandchildren - Kinsley Ripperda and Chase Dean Berry and his brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Saturday, October 5, 2013, at Zieren Day Funeral Home in Carlyle. Interment with military honors will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, October 8 at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis. Visitation will be held at Zieren-Day Funeral Home in Carlyle on Saturday, October 5, from 3:00 to 7:00 P.M.
