Helen C. Davis

Helen C. Davis was born on December 28, 1947, in Murphysboro, Illinois, a daughter of Leroy and Beatrice (Davis) Marshall. She married Norman Davis on April 14, 1967, in Breese, Illinois and he survives in Carlyle. Mrs. Davis was a homemaker who enjoyed sewing, fishing and spending time with her family. Helen C. Davis entered into rest on Tuesday, December 9, 2008, at her residence in Carlyle. She was 60 years of age. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Davis is survived by her mother - Beatrice Marshall of Carlyle; 2 daughters - Helen Wells and husband Donald of Carlyle and Michelle Herzog and husband Dennis of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; a son - Homer Davis and wife Becky of Fairdealing, Missouri; 4 grandchildren - Crystal Mosley, Sandy Herzog, Bryan Davis and Chelsey Wells; a step-grandson - Danny Wells; a step great grandson - Conner Wells and 4 brothers - Elden, Eddie, Gene and James Marshall. She was preceded in death by her father. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Thursday, December 11, 2008, at Zieren Day Funeral Home in Carlyle. Interment will follow at Carlyle Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Zieren Day Funeral Home on Thursday from 9:00 A.M. - Service time. Memorials in memory of Mrs. Davis may be made to the family and will be received at the funeral home.
