Hortense L. Haumesser

Hortense L. Haumesser was born in Breese on June 16, 1921, a daughter of Edward H. and Hattie A. (Arnold) Unger. Mrs. Haumesser was a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ in Carlyle and the Women's Guild at the church. She enjoyed bowling, playing cards, baking, gardening and reading the bible. Hortense L. Haumesser entered into rest on Monday, July 6, 2009, at Carlyle Healthcare Center in Carlyle. She was 88 years of age. Mrs. Haumesser is survived by a grandson - Matthew Albat and wife Jennifer of Carlyle. She was preceded in death by a daughter - Jane Haumesser Albat and a brother - Edwin Unger. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, July 10, 2009, at Immanuel United Church of Christ in Carlyle with Rev. Earl Menchhoffer, officiating. Interment will follow at Carlyle Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 10:00 A.M. until service time.
