Joann Harper

Joann F. "Joannie" Harper, age 57 of Germantown, died on Thursday, September 28, 2006, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Breese. She was born on November 16, 1948, in Breese, Illinois, a daughter of Francis "Moon" and JoAnn E. "Pete" (Peters) Harper. Ms. Harper is survived by her mother, JoAnn "Pete" Harper of Carlyle; 3 sisters Lynn Michael & husband Ron of Huey, Kim Seiffert and husband Mike of Carlyle and Nancy Lee and husband Mark of Collinsville; a brother Allen Harper and wife Sandy of Beckemeyer; her nieces and nephews -- Debi Seiffert of New Orleans, Louisiana, Jon Seiffert of Highland, Michelle Lee and Michael Lee of Collinsville and Sarah Michael of Huey and many special friends and family at the group home in Germantown. She was preceded in death by her father, Francis "Moon" Harper. Ms. Harper worked at Community Link in Breese. She was a member of the Beckemeyer American Legion Auxiliary in Beckemeyer, and she enjoyed jewelry, music and life. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:30 P.M. on Monday, October 2, 2006, at St. Mary's Church in Carlyle, with Fr. George Mauck officiating. Interment will follow at St. Anthony's Cemetery in Beckemeyer. Friends may call at Zieren Day Funeral Home on Sunday from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM, and on Monday from 8:00 AM until 1:00 P.M.
