John Schilling

John B. Schilling, age 76 of Bunker Hill, passed away at his home on September 22, 2026.

Mr. Schilling was born on January 12, 1950, a son of Robert and Doloris “Dodie” (Thompson) Schilling. John retired from Piasa Motor Fuels after working there for several years.

John is survived by his sons, Cory Schilling and wife Vicki of Bethalto, IL, Tracy Schilling and wife Jill of Carlyle, Illinois, and Zach Schilling of Bethalto; his grandchildren, Henry Schilling, Brady Schilling, Karlie Schilling, Kate Schilling, Claire Schilling, and Wyatt Schilling; a brother, Dan Schilling and wife Sharon; and a sister, Deb Lurkins and husband Dale.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Amelung.

Private funeral services will be held, with burial at Carlyle Township Cemetery.
