Joyce R. Tischler Obituary (1935 - 2011)

Joyce R. Tischler was born on January 4, 1935, in Carlyle, Illinois, a daughter of Louis Simonton and Glenna Tielemann. She loved antiques, and was the owner of "The Antique Shack" in Carlyle. She also enjoyed finding a bargain at yard sales and walking her dogs, Soxx and Miller. Joyce R. Tischler entered into rest on Saturday, July 2, 2011, at her residence in Carlyle. She was 76 years of age. She is survived by her children - Rodney Haberer and wife Hope of Westminster, Colorado, Vicki Stoecklin of Kansas City, Missouri, Kathleen Howe and husband Tracy of Romeoville, Illinois and Michael J. Tischler, III and wife Diana of Chicago; 10 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and a brother - Ralph Simonton and wife Wilma of Belleville. She was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson - Matthew Morgan and 3 brothers - Louis Simonton and wife Florine; Orville Simonton and wife Blanche and Lawrence Simonton and wife Cele. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, July 6, 2011, at Zieren Day Funeral Home in Carlyle with Rev. Steve Sommerer, officiating. Interment will follow at Posey Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Zieren Day Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 5, from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. and on Wednesday, July 6, from 8:00 A.M. until service time.
