Joyce M. Zimmermann Obituary (1925

Joyce M. Zimmermann was born on June 29, 1925, in Mathersville, Illinois, a daughter of William and Elizabeth Adams-Zimmermann. She married Walter Zimmermann on June 3, 1943, in Ferrin, and he preceded her in death on February 26, 1999. Mrs. Zimmermann was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church and worked as a bookkeeper at Ferrin Coop Equity Exchange in Ferrin for many years. Joyce M. Zimmermann died on Friday, December 3, 2010, at St. Mary's Good Samaritan Hospital in Centralia. She was 85 years of age. Mrs. Zimmermann is survived by 4 daughters - Barbara Jo O'Neal and husband Sonny of Bluffton, South Carolina, Patsy Beer and husband Gary of Ferrin, Peggy Zimmermann, and Cathy Zimmermann, both of Centralia; 5 grandchildren - Amy Lammers and husband Space, Gail Beer, Michael O'Neal, Danny O'Neal and wife Holly, and Angie Rohm and husband Chuck; 6 grandchildren -Kevin Wurm, Megan Lammers, Tucker and Alex O'Neal, and Carson and Madison Rohm; a sister - Judy DeBoard of Centralia; a brother, Robert Zimmermann and wife Lola of Hoffman; 2 sisters-in-law - Bernice Zimmermann of Ferrin and Mabel Mattmiller of Centralia; a brother-in-law - Carl Thalman of Mt. Vernon, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister - Jackie Thalman; her brothers - James, Richard, and Larry Zimmermann; and 3 brothers-in-law - Wilbert Zimmermann, Elmer Mattmiller and Cleo DeBoard. Private family services will be conducted with Rev. Scott Niermann officiating, with burial in Bethlehem Lutheran Cemetery in Ferrin. The family suggests memorials in memory of Mrs. Zimmermann to the donor's favorite charity, and will be received at Zieren Day Funeral Home.
