Ladonne D. Green Obituary (1917

LaDonne D. Green, age 95 of Surfside Beach, South Carolina and formerly of Carlyle, died on Friday, March 22, 2013, in Conway, South Carolina. Mrs. Green was born on June 14, 1917, in Centralia, Illinois, a daughter of Prosper and Minnie (McKinney) Clement. She married Granville Max Green on June 11, 1944, in Ft. Collins, Colorado, and he preceded her in death on March 3, 2004. Mrs. Green is survived by a daughter - Donna Stanford and husband John of Surfside Beach, South Carolina; 2 grandsons - Shane Stanford and wife Ana Witaszczyk and Matthew Stanford and wife Ashley; and a great granddaughter - Paisley Faith Stanford. She was preceded in death by her parents - Prosper and Minnie Clement; her husband - Granville Max Green; a son - Max C. Green; and 2 brothers - Hershel and Berthel Clement. Mrs. Green and her husband owned and operated Green's Hatchery and Carlyle Egg Plant. She was a charter member of The Carlyle Christian Church where she held the office of the first Secretary Treasurer for many years. She was a 50 year member of the Order of Eastern Star Lodge 518. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, March 29, 2013, at Carlyle Christian Church in Carlyle, Illinois with Pastor Van Segars, officiating. Interment will follow at Carlyle Cemetery. Mrs. Green's family will greet friends and family at the church on Friday from 10:00 - 11:00 A.M. Memorial donations in her memory are suggested to the Carlyle Christian Church and will be received at the church or at Zieren Day Funeral Home.
