Lola L. Schroer Obituary (1944

Lola L. Schroer, age 69 of Centralia, passed away on Monday, August 25, 2014, at Cedar Ridge Healthcare Center in Lebanon, Illinois. Mrs. Schroer was born on November 5, 1944, in Nashville, Illinois, a daughter of Leonard and Martha (Dintelmann) Richards. She married Richard J. Schroer on May 27, 1967, and he preceded her in death on August 6, 1999. Mrs. Schroer is survived by her sons - Jason Schroer of Centralia and James Schroer and wife Kelly of New Bern, North Carolina; 3 grandchildren - Makayla, Jared and Alex Schroer; a sister - Carol Sprehe and husband Denis of O'Fallon, Illinois; a brother - James Richards and wife Joan of Louisiana; 3 nieces and a nephew. She was preceded in death by her parents - Leonard and Martha Richards and her husband - Richard Schroer. Lola was a homemaker and had worked at the candy factory in Centralia. She loved jigsaw puzzles, reading and playing bingo. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, September 1, 2014, at Zieren Day Funeral Home in Carlyle. Interment will follow at Carlyle Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 10:00 - 11:00 A.M. on Monday morning. Donations in memory of Mrs. Schroer may be made to the charity of the donor's choice and will be received at the funeral home.
