Loretta M. Jenne Obituary (1920

Loretta M. Jenne, age 91 of Auburn, Illinois, entered into rest on Wednesday, August 24, 2011, at St. John's Hospice in Springfield, Illinois. Miss Jenne was born on March 5, 1920, in Wheatfield Township, Illinois, a daughter of William A. and Adele L. (Hildebrand) Jenne. Loretta worked as a secretary at First National Bank in St. Louis, retiring in 1985. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in St. Louis and enjoyed photography and collecting cookbooks. Miss Jenne is survived by a sister - Betty Greenwood and husband Eldon of Chatham, Illinois; a brother - Jewel A. Jenne of Carlyle and 17 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers - Harold Jenne and wife Selma and Laverne Jenne and wife Martha; 2 sisters - Marcella Greiwe and husband Herbert and Velma Wiese and husband Lester and a sister-in-law - Geraldine Jenne. Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, August 27, 2011 at Zieren Day Funeral Home in Carlyle. Interment will follow at St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery in rural Carlyle. Visitation will be held at Zieren Day Funeral Home on Friday, August 26, from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. and on Saturday morning from 8:00 A.M. until service time. Memorials in memory of Loretta are suggested to St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery in Carlyle, St. John's Lutheran Church in St. Louis or to St. John's Hospice in Springfield and will be received at the funeral home.
