Marian E. Sinclair

Marian E. Sinclair was born in eastern Jersey County, Illinois on October 19, 1929, a daughter of Raymond and Adah (Strebel) Piggott. She married Bert Sinclair on June 17, 1951 in Medora, Illinois, and he survives in Carlyle. Mrs. Sinclair was a homemaker who devoted her life to her family and enjoyed cooking, gardening and reading. Marian E. Sinclair died on Tuesday, May 4, 2010, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Belleville, Illinois. She was 80 years of age. In addition to her husband Bert, Mrs. Sinclair is also survived by a son, Robert Sinclair and wife Diane of Carlyle; a daughter, Martha Sinclair of Carlyle; a granddaughter, Denise Sinclair; and a brother, Harold Piggott and wife Lynn of Glen Carbon. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, May 7, 2010, at Zieren Day Funeral Home in Carlyle, with Deacon Charles Litteken officiating. Interment will follow in Carlyle Cemetery. Friends may call at Zieren Day Funeral Home on Thursday from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM, and Friday from 8:00 AM until service time.
