Mary Lou Edwards

Mary Lou Edwards, age 61 of Gillespie and formerly of Carlyle, died Monday, April 4, 2011 at Christian Northeast Hospital in St. Louis. She was born April 21, 1949 in Breese, a daughter of Melvin and Nola (Swofford) Potts. She is survived by 2 daughters, Angie Fisher & husband Jim of Mattoon, Christy Doty of Gillespie; a son, Greg Edwards & wife Korinne of Metamora, IL; 11 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild; a sister, Myrna Luebbers & husband Bob of Carlyle and 3 brothers, George Potts & wife Gloria of Lake Forrest, Ca, William Potts & wife Kathy of Winston, Or, and Jim Potts & wife Rosie of Smiths Grove, Ky. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Eddie Potts. Mary was of the Christian faith, and enjoyed collecting angels, playing bingo, and working on crossword puzzles.
