Phyllis Schniers

Phyllis E. Schniers was born on December 9, 1943, in Carlyle, Illinois, a daughter of James J. and Mildred (Kolmer) Taylor. She married Bernell Schniers on April 25, 1984, in St. Louis and he survives in Carlyle. Mrs. Schniers was a seamstress for DeMoulin in Greenville. She enjoyed camping, fishing, bingo and the riverboat casinos. Phyllis E. Schniers entered into rest on Thursday, July 3, 2008, at her residence in Carlyle. She was 64 years of age. Phyllis is survived by a son James Eveland and wife Sheri of Highland; a daughter Tracy Eveland of Carlyle; 4 sisters Mildred Lampe and husband David of Germantown, Nancy Wood and friend Chris Weckler of Shiloh, Ilene Allison and husband Ray of Chester, Darlene Hegger and husband Don of Aviston; 3 brothers Roy Taylor and wife Louise of Carlyle, Jessie Taylor and wife Rose of Carlyle and Bob Taylor and wife Connie of Cabot, Arkansas; 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; 4 step-daughters Stephanie Buck and husband Bryan of Carlyle, Stacy Powell and husband Kenny of Nashville, Robin Bryan and husband David of Breese and Tanna Bosler and husband Johnny of Centralia and a sister-in-law Patricia Taylor of Carlyle; She was preceded in death by her parents; her grandparents Herman and Cecelia Kolmer and 2 brothers Charles Taylor and Jack V. Taylor. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, July 7, 2008, at Zieren Day Funeral Home in Carlyle with Fr. George Mauck, officiating. Interment will follow at Carlyle Cemetery. Friends and family are invited to visiting hours at Zieren Day Funeral Home on Sunday from 4:00 8:00 P.M. and on Monday from 8:00 A.M. until service time.
