Rintha E. White Obituary (1927

Rintha E. "Pat" White was born on September 22, 1927, in Licking, Missouri, a daughter of John Joseph and Alvie Gertrude (West) Riley. She married Lester Gray White on November 3, 1943, in St. Louis and he preceded her in death on October 4, 1998. Mrs. White was the co-owner of White's Auto Sales for many years. She was a life member of VFW Ladies Auxiliary, Post 7451 in Madison. Pat enjoyed family gatherings, shopping, cooking and canning, sewing, travelling, eating good food and yellow roses. Rintha E. "Pat" White entered into rest on September 9, 2008, at her residence near Carlyle. Mrs. White was 80 years of age. Mrs. White is survived by a son - Lester E. White, Sr. and wife Donna of Carlyle; a son-in-law - Kenneth Phillips of Carlyle; 6 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and 2 brothers - George Riley and wife Marie of Jerseyville and Bob Riley and wife LaVerne of Iola, Kansas. In addition to his parents and his wife, Mrs. White was preceded in death by a daughter - Esther Phillips; a sister - Corda Hall and 5 brothers - James Riley, Joseph Green Riley, John Riley, Michael "Kit" Riley and Franklin Riley. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, September 12, 2008, at Zieren Day Funeral Home in Carlyle with Deacon John Hempen, officiating. Interment will follow at McKendree Chapel Cemetery near Keyesport. Visitation will be held at Zieren Day Funeral Home on Thursday, September 11, 2008, from 5:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M., and on Friday from 8:00 A.M. until service time. Memorials in memory of Mrs. White may be made to Heartland Hospice and will be accepted at the funeral home.
