Sharon J. Hotz Obituary (1937

Sharon J. Hotz, age 76 of Carlyle, passed away on Thursday, November 14, 2013, at her home in Carlyle. Ms. Hotz was born in Posey, Illinois, on May 4, 1937, a daughter of Fred and Elizabeth (Bachs) Thouvenin. She was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church in Carlyle, and had worked in housekeeping at St. Joseph's Hospital. Sharon was a member of the "Cousins' Klatch" and loved gardening and reading. She read passages from the Bible daily. She is survived by 2 daughters - Cheryl Hollister of Fayetteville, North Carolina and Lynne Brown of Springer, New Mexico and her siblings - Norma Lappe and husband Wilson and Wilma Hemann, all of Carlyle; Ron Thouvenin and wife Vi of Huey and Roger Thouvenin and wife Doris of Eddyville, Kentucky. She was preceded in death by her parents - Fred and Elizabeth Thouvenin; twin siblings - Floyd and Virginia Thouvenin and a brother-in-law - Joe Hemann. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, November 18, 2013, at Messiah Lutheran Church in Carlyle with Rev. Steve Sommerer, officiating. Following the committal service at Posey Cemetery, a luncheon will be held at Messiah Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall. Memorial donations in memory of Ms. Hotz are suggested to Posey Cemetery and will be received at the funeral home.
