Wynona M. Beard Obituary (2009)

Wynona M. Beard, age 68 of Centralia and formerly of Keyesport, entered into rest on Thursday, February 5, 2009, at St. Mary's Good Samaritan Hospital in Centralia, Illinois. She was born on July 14, 1940, in Coffeyville, Kansas, a daughter of William and Florence (Shead) Boyd. She married Clifford Meskil and then married Walter Beard, Jr. on August 21, 1975, in Miami, Oklahoma. Mr. Beard preceded her in death on November 28, 1987. Mrs. Beard is survived by 3 sons - Tim Meskil of Pocahontas, Illinois, Boyd Meskil of Centralia and Toby Beard of Centralia; 7 grandchildren - Matthew Stebbins and Erika, Lyndsey, Brandon, Miranda, David and Jacob Meskil; a sister - Judy Van Houten of Spokane, Washington and a brother - William Boyd of Louisville, Kentucky. In addition to her husband Walter, she was preceded in death by a daughter - Pamela Vaughn. A graveside memorial service will be held at a later date at McKendree Chapel Cemetery in Keyesport. Memorial donations in memory of Mrs. Beard may be made to the charity of the donor's choice and will be accepted at the funeral home.
